USS PRAIRIE on decommissioning day, March 26, 1993
The USS PRAIRIE was decommissioned and stricken from the Naval Vessel Register on 26 March 1993. She was transferred to the Maritime Administration as part of the National Defense Reserve Fleet six days later, on 1 April.
